ST88 Residence

The care here stayed with me long after my visit. This family-owned place feels deeply welcoming and restorative, and spending time with the people here was unforgettable. Each morning, after visiting the market, they leave fruit at the building's altar and offer blessings for the space and its guests. Their kindness moved me more than I can easily say. They show so much warmth, patience, and presence. Staying here was a privilege, and it might become the highlight of your trip smile

I liked having bikes to borrow for riding around the neighborhood. The owner and staff were kind and helpful, and I enjoyed my stay.

Leaving my luggage after checkout was appreciated, and cleanliness was acceptable. Still, I had a disappointing stay. The price was very low, and I knew the standard might be lower and the location far from the city center, but the room was quite small and had little privacy with the blinds open, since the window faced another one. The air conditioner above the bed was loud, as was its outside unit, and water use in the neighboring bathroom made loud noises through the wall beside the bed. Hallway sounds came through clearly too. I'd read about noise through connecting doors, but that part seems to have been addressed. I suspect the bottled water provided by the hotel made me sick. Its safety seal was a little broken, and the cap came off very easily without twisting. I drank half the bottle after not eating for about 8 hours, then had stomach problems for the next three days. There's absolutely nothing around the place.

Max and Maew made it feel like I was being welcomed into their peaceful home from the moment I arrived at ST88. By the next day I already felt like family. I stayed for 8 nights, and leaving was so hard. Their warmth and kindness are hard to describe. Pept and Tu have huge hearts too, and I always felt cared for and in good hands. The hospitality here is unlike anything I've experienced. The area felt incredibly safe and always lively. I borrowed a bicycle to visit local shops. Max helped me figure out online maps and even drew one for me, sharing plenty of advice, knowledge, and humor. Maew checked in thoughtfully about my trip and plans each day and was eager to help. I felt so peaceful and relaxed here, and I'm deeply grateful for everything. The building's sunrise and sunset views, rooftop yoga, neighborhood cats, coffee and bottled water left at the door each morning, and the careful cleaning are some of the things I loved. I slept so well, and the A/C was much appreciated. My life feels changed by this short stay, and I can't wait to return to St88.
