There’s hardly anything around besides a gas station with a 7-11. The airport ride takes under five minutes, but they charge 300 baht for it in a small Nissan Micra, which feels far too expensive. Still, it can work if you need to catch an early flight. The rooms are spacious and clean, though the modern look is mostly grey concrete and bare brick, with a slight jailhouse feel.

At night you can hear birds and insects, which made the stay feel really peaceful. Even though the road is close, the walk of about 50 meters to the room feels like heading into the jungle. The rooms are very spacious and have an industrial look. I’d definitely stay again.

We were offered a 450 baht taxi for the 3.1 km trip to the airport, and were told it would take 10 or 15 minutes. I chose to start walking instead. At 5:30am, we’d gone only twenty feet when a minibus appeared. We paid 200 baht without bargaining. I don’t mind paying extra for convenience, but the ride to the front door took less than three minutes, so the original price felt like too much. The driver seemed very happy with 200 baht for those few minutes. To the owner: people may call out prices like this and go around the middleman. The rooms themselves were large, clean, and very close to the airport. Fortunately, Google Maps had made that clear to us.

The rooms were new and okay, but not comfortable, with no decoration. We only stayed six hours while waiting for our plane. The receptionist was asleep when we arrived, didn’t greet us, and wasn’t helpful. We had a lot of luggage and she didn’t even offer a little help while showing us the room. A big taxi or minivan from the airport cost 200 baht for the 3-5 minute trip, but the hotel charges 300-350 baht for the return ride. That felt like getting ripped off. There’s little nearby besides a 7/11 across the street. We also wouldn’t eat breakfast there: the cats were eating on the restaurant counter and tables, and it wasn’t even open. Too bad, but I wouldn’t stay again.
