Venice Krabi Villa Resort

We had a very mixed stay here for our honeymoon. The resort has a nice concept and location, but maintenance, transparency, and service need a lot of improvement for the price, especially for a special occasion. The gym was good and well equipped. Staff were polite, but slow to respond to room requests. The room was acceptable but old, with worn wooden floors that seemed only swept, not properly cleaned. The walkways around the resort were also old and in poor shape, with some parts feeling rotten. The pool was green and smelled unpleasant, and the lagoon by the rooms was green too, with a noticeable odor. The resort operates as a Muslim resort, with no alcohol served and no pork available on site. We respect that, but it wasn’t mentioned during booking, and should have been made clear so guests can decide in advance. The restaurant was expensive for what it offered. The food was okay, but not what we expected at that price. We booked a private standalone room with no neighbors, but were put in a middle unit between families. That was disappointing for our honeymoon, and no compensation or solution was offered. We had booked the honeymoon package and did receive a beautiful, romantic sunset dinner setup in our room. But monkeys came and took our food shortly after we started eating. Wildlife may be outside the resort’s control, but it took staff nearly an hour to come and help, which felt unsafe and concerning. When we went to reception later to complain, staff who had spoken fluent English earlier suddenly said they didn’t understand. We were told everyone was busy serving dinner. We only got the dinner served at the restaurant the next day, after asking for it.

My wife and I started our honeymoon at this peaceful hotel, away from the crowds of Ao Nang, and after five nights we really didn’t want to leave. The Water Villas felt like a private oasis surrounded by nature. We’d sit on the veranda each day and spot huge monitor lizards, amazing birds, and other wildlife. There’s also a lovely beach within walking distance and a 711 nearby. The pool was huge and very well maintained. Both on-site restaurants were great every time we ate there, and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. The staff were attentive and friendly. We’d definitely return.

We stayed three nights in a premium overwater bungalow at the Venice Krabi Villa Resort. I know people are entitled to different opinions, but I don’t understand some of the negative ones. The resort has a brilliant, unique concept, with cohesive details that made the vacation feel special. The bungalow was fantastic, especially its magical balcony. We woke to nature sounds and spent the evenings in quiet, hearing nocturnal animals and feeling close to the jungle. Such a distinctive atmosphere. The staff were smiling and helpful, and the food was very good. There could be a wider selection, but nothing was missing for us. There’s a large pool, a gym, and plenty of activities available on site for purchase. We were sad to leave, though there’s more to explore. We travel as a couple and recommend this place to couples. It’s a great place to stay, and the staff are friendly and helpful. My husband loved it. The resort is U-shaped, though, and there are no shortcuts from our room to the front desk, breakfast, or the exit. So be ready for a lot of walking, especially in the heat. They don’t sell alcohol.
