SAii Koh Samui Villas

The beach was rocky, so swimming to cool off was barely possible. If a swimmable beach is a must, this probably isn’t the resort for you, though the rocks are hardly something the hotel can control. We otherwise loved our stay and would recommend it to another couple looking for somewhere restful. We chose it as our first stop in Thailand to recover from jet lag, and it was just right for that. The room was comfortable and cleaned promptly each day, the grounds were beautifully landscaped and well kept, and the staff were always welcoming. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice; drinks were well made and reasonably priced. We also had dinner there twice and really enjoyed it.

We came for our honeymoon and would happily return. The quiet setting was great for relaxing, though taxis cost more here than in other parts of Thailand. To explore the island, we’d suggest hiring a bike or car, or taking a tour as we did to see several sights in one day. Pui Relax, just around the corner, was a good option for local food. The room was clean and spacious, with a plunge pool and a well-stocked minibar. You could request pool cleaning, and the room was serviced daily unless you asked otherwise. The hotel app made it easy to arrange shared transport, including to Fisherman’s Village, at a lower rate than private taxis. Information was clear and easy to follow. Breakfast had a good Thai and international selection, and lunch was pleasant in a lovely setting, though not especially good value, as you might expect from a hotel restaurant. The pools were well maintained with beautiful views of the beach and surrounding area. The gym had all the essentials. Everyone was warm and helpful, and we loved our stay.

The staff really made this stay: Ter, little, boss and da in food servece, and meen on reception were amazing and couldn't do enough. Everyone greeted us and made us feel acknowledged. The beach isn't private and is rocky, but it's lovely for an evening walk. There are three pools, including one with a swim-up bar; the water was just right and they never felt too crowded. Lots of loungers, and you can hear the waves. Each place to stay is its own villa with a plunge pool, though getting into that little pool isn't the easiest. Our villa was near the facilities, but you'd never know it. The bed was enormous, and the bathroom shower was huge and incredibly powerful. Such a lovely spot for a proper chill. We'd go back in a heartbeat x

The beach feels tucked away, without many outsiders around, and you can snorkel, paddleboard, or kayak for free. The pool has a great ocean view, and both breakfast and the restaurant were highlights. The Thai food tasted authentic, and the pizza was good too. I’ve been to Samui three times, and this is now my go-to. It’s about a 10-minute drive from the airport and Chaweng, yet feels secluded once you’re on the property. The rooms were clean and housekeeping did a great job. Staff were welcoming everywhere, especially at reception, and handled our questions and requests with a smile. The app for housekeeping requests and general questions was much easier than calling. The price was excellent for the service we received. We were blown away by how helpful and attentive everyone was. Thanks to the team for making our stay so good.
