Ai Pai Hotel

Pai walking street is literally a one-minute walk away, with plenty of restaurants, street food, and souvenirs nearby. There's also a self-service laundromat right out front. The hotel is new and clean, and it has a nice pool. Breakfast was delicious, with a good choice of Thai and Western food. Ai Pai also provides complimentary snacks and soda, not just water like most places.

The hotel looks lovely in the photos and has potential, but the high price is hard to justify when it isn't maintained well and can even feel dirty. It was noticeable from the lobby restrooms through to the dining area. I raised this with the front desk manager, but he didn't really address my concerns. Breakfast is served by the pool, where the cold was unbearable for many guests and made them uncomfortable. The coffee machine barely works, leading to unusually long waits and lines. The staff are kind and welcoming, and I hope more attention is given to these details.

The location is great and the staff were nice, but the hotel feels poorly designed. The walls and doors are so thin you can hear everything going on outside. We booked pool access rooms but didn't use the pool because the water was too cold for me. The bed was hard, there weren't enough outlets, and the bathtub seemed unnecessary since it can't be filled with hot water.

Being only a two-minute walk from the heart of the evening walking street made this a perfect spot for visiting Pai. The staff were really nice, and the rooms were great, with a Smart TV for YouTube and Netflix and a super comfy bed. Breakfast was good too, with a buffet plus eggs cooked to order.
