The clean, spacious room had a comfortable bed, tiled floor, and working Wi-Fi. Some parts looked a little worn, but at 500 Baht in high season I thought it was fair. A fan room should be enough for most of the year, since nights get cool in high season. I was glad to have a thin duvet, as I was at Rainbow house. The garden is small, though you can sit outside and see trees and flowers. Reception was friendly and quick. There’s free coffee, but I couldn’t find any mugs. Pai bus station is about a 10-minute walk away, and PGG has two 7-11s within a two-minute walk.

The double rooms are very cheap, and the beds are good. There’s an old TV in the room.

It’s near the markets but set a little away from the tourist crowds. The backpackers hostel across the street can be noisy, though. At 400 baht, it didn’t seem cheap to us, so we didn’t look into what other places charged. Be sure to ask for clean sheets, since they aren’t always changed. If you have a car, drive out of Pai for the magnificent sunrise and sunset views.

Tucked in an alley near the market, this is a quiet place to stay. The cakes are delicious, especially the young coconut one. I recommend it.
