Pai Iyara Resort

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the pool was great and clean, and breakfast came with plenty of choices. We stayed at this cute resort for three nights in November. Its location outside Pai was good for a quiet night's sleep, unless there were loud tourists around. The temperature was the one thing I hadn't checked. It was perfect during the day, but dropped to 8 degrees at night, and there was no heater in the room. I asked for extra blankets, and room service brought them quickly.

We came as a group of five, three adults and two kids, and had such a great time that we immediately extended our stay. The small breakfast was delicious, and we loved the view from our deluxe villa. The pool was fun every day. You can get a ride to the walking street for 100 Baht, and we loved sitting outside in the pickup. We'll come back and thank our lovely hosts again. ❤️

We stayed in a separate bungalow with a lovely view of the mountains and garden. It was cozy and clean, and the area was quiet. Breakfasts were small, homemade and tasty, and the garden was nice too. The staff kindly brought extra blankets when we found the nights cold, since the air conditioner doesn't heat. We booked two nights, December 30 to January 1, and arrived early, but early check-in wasn't available, so we had to wait. The holiday rate was quite high at 2,500 baht a night. The usual price shown on Google was around 650 baht, so it felt expensive and the price-to-quality ratio affected my impression.

The warm welcome started at reception, where the receptionist explained the property and walked us to our Standard villa. The room was spacious and had all the equipment we needed. A team of four amazing housekeeping girls came daily to clean and refill the amenities, and they fixed a small room issue quickly after we reported it. The menu is small, but every dish we tried was delightful. We ordered from it every day, and they were happy to make small customizations. Breakfast was simple, with only a few items, but very satisfying. The chef and server girls were helpful with our requests, and the pancakes were the best we'd ever had. One morning the owner's wife offered us Thai porridge with coconut, milk and lychee, which was really tasty. The proprietor escorted us to the pickup point for the 100 bath taxi service to the city center. Even so, he suggested renting a bicycle to explore the area. This place felt welcoming from the start, something we don't see much elsewhere in Pai and Thailand. Highly recommended for a visit to Pai.
