Spirit Lodge

A lovely spot surrounded by nature, with convenient, affordable bungalows. The mattress was a little hard, and the bathroom could use some renovation because of the smell from the pipes. Still, it's definitely a place to stay if you want to be close to nature.

We planned on staying 10 days and wound up extending to 3 weeks because we just didn't feel ready to leave. It really is a peaceful little escape from the city, with a starry sky at night and a private patio where we watched the sunset. Our bungalow had a big, comfy bed, a private bathroom and air conditioning, and it was extremely clean. The price felt very reasonable for how much space we got. The staff were always kind and helpful, and our host Sirichai went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. Beautiful bungalows and an amazing view. I'd definitely recommend this little slice of heaven in Pai.

You'll need wheels to get around, since it's quite far from central Pai. We spent one night in a fan room and slept well, but moved to another hotel afterward for a few Baht more and a few extra amenities. The room was clean and surprisingly cool without air conditioning, though it was small, only a little bigger than the bed, and had no extras like a fridge. The bed was a simple futon mattress on a raised concrete base, but comfortable enough for a night. The owner was friendly.

We loved our four nights at Odour Pai. It was really quiet, with lovely mountain views, but the main part of Pai is only a five-minute scooter ride away if you want more going on. The staff were super friendly and even dropped us at the bus station early in the morning. The hammocks were nice too, hehe.
