UP2U Guesthouse - Hostel

The building feels like a huge treehouse, with big tree trunks holding it up, and it's beautiful, natural, and cosy. I found the hostel through some girls I met in Chiang Rai, and I'm glad they pointed me here. There's an upstairs outdoor area where people relax during the day. It's peaceful and laid-back, definitely not a party hostel. The owner was friendly, and Lucy, their old dog, hangs out by the entrance. She's a senior and very mellow. I had lots of questions, and the staff were patient and helpful. The woman at the front desk also taught me a little about Thai culture, which I appreciated. There are no curtains in the rooms, but there are bug nets, so be mindful and quiet. No A/C either, though the building stays naturally cool; you can open the windows and use a fan if you need to. I wore long pants and a sweater at night. The shower temperature was okay. A really pleasant, lovely stay, especially if you're after somewhere quiet and authentic.

Gorgeous hostel, and I love how relaxing it is. I slept pretty badly, though, because in my room you could hear motorcycles and cars all night. That's worth knowing before you book.

This place is a cool treehouse with a laid-back feel. People are quiet and peaceful, just there to chill, so it's great if you're not a party traveler. The common area has hammocks and comfortable seats. I could've stayed there all day, enjoying the view and listening to nature. It's 420 friendly, and the staff were great and helped with everything. We added two nights and it was no problem. It's a little outside the town center but still walkable. I'd rent a scooter, since you'll want one for getting to the water spots, viewpoints, and other places. There isn't A/C, but the heat didn't bother me and I slept like a baby. The bed is basically a piece of wood with a tiny mattress, and I still slept like a baby. 10/10 hostel, book it now!

I like a cold room at night, so the chill in the bedrooms didn't bother me. It's really quiet and peaceful here, and this is the best hostel I've stayed at. 100% must try!
