The Breath Khao Yai

It felt like an abandoned resort. The rooms were dirty, with floors that looked and felt as if they were giving way, and there was an ant infestation. The shower design was dangerous and made no sense. Everything was overgrown, and the pools were empty and dirty. I’m not sure if they expected more tourism than they got and ran out of money for upkeep, or simply don’t care.

I liked the view at the back of the resort, as shown in the last photo. The mountain view from my room, though, was partly blocked by foliage. I’d chosen a mountain view, but my room was on the ground floor, as in the first photo. The second photo shows the view from 1.5 floor, halfway up the second floor. My room is the one in the third photo, a bit of a walk from the lobby. There was no hot water. On the second day, around 10am, a staff member came into my room. I wasn’t sure why. She seemed to mention checkout time, even though I wasn’t due to check out that day. Walking around the resort, I could see there was a lot of maintenance to do.

I loved the hotel, the food, the setting, and the privacy. It was the best ☺️☺️

I really liked the interior and landscaping. I love quiet places surrounded by nature, and the thick walls kept out all the sound. Breakfast was adequate and tasty. After we complained about the bed frame, they came and fixed it. The bathroom needs an exhaust fan because the poor ventilation can cause a bad smell. For this price, though, it was okay for us. It’s somewhat away from the noisy area, so you need a private car, but they provide a tram!
