The breakfast staff were upbeat and friendly, and the shaved ice for a morning dessert caught me by surprise. There weren't many breakfast choices, though. I booked a classic room. It had plenty of space, but the layout felt odd. The hotel seemed more like a condo, and the room looked dated and poorly maintained. It hadn't been cleaned well either, since I found hair on the floor. I could hear the elevator and people in the hallway, so there's basically no soundproofing. At least the AC was very cold and the room had the basics. For the price it's decent, even if it isn't a great hotel.

The beds were what stood out most during our stay at Fortune Courtyard Hotel Khaoyai. The mattress had a nice balance of softness and support, and the plush pillows and crisp linens made it easy to sleep well without interruptions. After a day out exploring Khaoyai, getting into bed felt wonderful. Service was excellent from arrival onward. Check-in was efficient, the staff were welcoming and friendly, and they paid attention to our requests. The hotel has a comfortable, somewhat sophisticated feel, with well-kept facilities and a convenient location. It worked well as a place to relax while still being set up for adventures. I slept better here than I expected, and would recommend it to anyone who cares about service and a really comfortable bed.

The hotel is near Khao Yai national park and easy to get to. It has a lovely view and clean rooms, and the price fits an ASEAN tourist budget.
