Monte Vista Chalet

Our family usually goes to Khao Yai over Christmas and New Year. As the kids have got older, they’ve wanted more room to themselves, so we needed somewhere with at least three bedrooms. Last year we stayed at Mövenpick, but this year we chose this hillside pool villa because it was more reasonably priced. The three bedrooms are on separate levels, and the interior is thoughtfully designed down to the details. There were even frozen beer glasses in the freezer, which made my husband so happy 🍺. The kitchen has everything, including an oven and BBQ grill, so we brought ingredients and cooked dinner together both nights. We also discovered the sound system had karaoke. I ended up singing into the microphone all by myself last night. I really miss my karaoke gang. A chef comes to the villa to make breakfast, with both Thai and Western options. It was lovely for everyone to get up and eat together. It felt more like a family breakfast than the one we have at home.

The resort was clean, peaceful, and so relaxing. It’s absolutely beautiful, and the service was outstanding. Highly recommended.

The location is great, and both the room and service left me completely satisfied. The room was very clean and comfortable. I’d especially recommend the hilltop villa rooms.

I’d been hoping to visit Monte Vista for a while because the photos looked so good, and the stay lived up to them. The views were stunning, the rooms were wonderful, and every detail seemed considered. The staff were friendly and helpful too. While planning to come back, I got a tour of the Grand Villa. It’s phenomenal and feels unique in Thailand, with hotel-level service and facilities in a villa. This is Thai hospitality at its best. I’ll be back.
