Wanathara Resort

We picked this resort for the swimming pool and were satisfied with it. It's an ordinary place close to the river, with surroundings that aren't bad. The style is a bit old but acceptable, though the rooms and dining area could use some renovation.

The countryside feel suited me better than a city hotel for a stop before visiting my past teacher in pitsanulok. The resort is cool and nice, and I had dinner by the river while watching other people river rafting. I also dipped in the pool beside the running stream. There's plenty of space for a morning walk, and the resort is fully self sufficient, with a simple swing and obstacle course for kids or adults. Just watch out for the protruding flooring at the pool resting place.

There are lots of shady spots to sit and walk around, and the small river and natural setting make this a peaceful place. It was originally established by a doctor for health and wellbeing, and seems especially good for families with elders and children, or anyone who loves nature. Breakfast service was good, and there's a restaurant, gift shop, and coffee shop. The swimming pool is healthy. Very recommended for a peaceful stay.

The resort sits right by the River Khek, surrounded by peaceful jungle trees and plants, though restaurants and shops are some distance away. Having a car makes that fine. There are some activities for kids, and the swimming pool is very nice and clean. My family and I stayed five nights and quite liked it. The place is clean and comfortable, the WiFi is strong enough to work, and breakfast is okay, nothing special. The food at the resort is good and reasonably priced. Service was excellent, with all the staff very friendly and helpful.
