The bed was really stiff and uncomfortable. The rooftop sounds like a nice feature, but since it’s open-air, it’s not much use after rain. The grounds are peaceful and private, with a nice landscape, though the trees block any view of Khao Yai national park. The hotel restaurant only serves breakfast, but there are places to eat nearby. You’ll need your own car. They also have bicycles for riding around the resort.

The animal smells caught me off guard at first. I wondered if there was a pig sty nearby, then realised during a drive through the countryside that the area is farmland. The place itself is lovely, with a Christian feel that’s different from the usual Buddhist Thailand.
