The road to Chez Piera could use work, though that’s an issue for the relevant authorities, especially with several resorts in the area supporting tourism and the local economy. Once there, I found the place peaceful and lovely to wander around, just right for reading quietly. In January it got down to about 10 degrees Celsius, which made it feel especially cozy. My room was roomy and comfortable, with lots of pillows that I loved. The food was another highlight: tasty dishes at very reasonable prices. Check-in was quick, the staff made me feel welcome right away, and I got a personal tour with a beautiful view over the lake and dam. Seeing people canoeing was a nice sign of the relaxing activities on offer. The owners were around during my stay. Khun Pong was thoughtful and kind, and even brought me a dessert. Khun Aun looked after guests gently and professionally. The staff spoke English well, so communication was easy. I had a wonderful stay at Chez Piera and would happily give it a perfect score. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Khao Yai.

We were so happy with our weekend here. The staff were attentive and friendly, and made us feel right at home. Our room had a breathtaking view, and the air felt fresh and clean. Such a lovely spot for a peaceful getaway.
