The Loom Rangsit

I booked two rooms through Agoda at 11 PM for a stay starting at 2 AM the next day, but the staff wouldn't let me in because check-in was only at midnight. I offered to pay more than I had paid Agoda to get in earlier, but they said they couldn't do anything and told me to book directly at the counter instead. They refused my request, and I never got a refund for the two rooms I'd already booked. I'm very disappointed with the service and don't want to negotiate any further.

The room looked clean at first, but on closer inspection there were gecko droppings everywhere, especially in two opposite corners. There was no toilet tissue, and the toilet room door had no latch. That toilet space was tiny, only 1 meter by 1.8 meters, with a towel rack but nowhere to hang clothes. So getting in and out meant being au naturel, with apologies or warnings to anyone else in the room. My end unit had a front window facing a commercial dumpster business, with four dirty, rusty, obnoxious-looking dumpsters. The side window looked onto the hotel's car park. For breakfast, they handed out coupons for an open-air street food setup with tables on the corner lot next to the hotel. I learned a while ago never to eat at places like that, so I gave my coupons to the hotel's security person. There's no kitchen or restaurant in the hotel itself. The room had outdoor access and was like a low-end resort room that usually goes for 400-500 baht a night, or less if rented by the hour, if you get my drift. It was overpriced, and the hotel was disappointing. I'd tell anyone to look elsewhere.

The staff were really good, and the hotel is cheap, but I didn't think much of it otherwise. The room was clean. It seemed to be in an industrial area.

The bathrooms were really small, and the AC didn't work properly.
