Amarin Hotel Patong

My aunt, mum and I felt unsafe as soon as we saw the room. The balcony had only a bar for protection, no glass, and the hotel was down a sketchy alley in a location I really didn't like. There was even a fish in the hallway. We ended up going to the Ibis next door because we urgently needed another room. We were meant to stay four days but lasted just one night, then had to head back down to Krabi. I wouldn't recommend this place, won't return, and would warn people to stay far away.

For the price, the comfort and service were better than I expected. The staff were professional, courteous, and quick to respond to requests, and the location made nearby attractions and services easy to reach. It's a solid choice for a three-star hotel. The rooms are clean, functional, and well kept, with basic amenities that work properly. A dependable option for a short visit or a longer stay.

Checkout turned into a stressful argument. We had an 11 AM flight, but they held up our departure over a small bedsheet stain we caused. It seemed easily removable, yet staff said the sheet was “ruined” and demanded 4,500 baht, then refused to return our deposit. We almost missed the flight and were left panicking. Housekeeping was poor throughout the stay. The room was never properly cleaned; each day I had to ask for fresh towels, while they only left water bottles outside and took away the trash bag. There were lots of mosquitoes, a bad smell, and a disgusting bathroom that clearly wasn't maintained. A terrible stay with poor hygiene, bad service, unfair charges, and extremely unprofessional behavior. We hated it and would never return or recommend this hotel.

The location gave us a peaceful place to stay while keeping us close to everything. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of fresh choices each morning, and the views were breathtaking. Our room was spotless and beautifully designed. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine warmth. The attention to detail made us feel valued, and the hotel exceeded all my expectations. I'd gladly come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Thailand. It made my trip unforgettable.
