Baan Sudarat

The rooms were clean and roomy, and the staff were friendly. It's a basic, comfortable place with good value, and having access to the pool was a plus. The location can get noisy at night, though that's not the hotel's fault. Earplugs help.

The staff were the best part of my stay at Baan Sudarat Hotel. They seemed to run it as a family business and were caring, quick to respond, and always smiling. When I had problems with my room, they dealt with them promptly. I didn't get the room I'd booked, but they found me another one that was spotless and well kept. I thought the price was still good, and the furnishings and cleanliness were impressive. My room had very comfortable bedding and effective air conditioning. The hotel felt welcoming, and the well-sealed windows and doors kept it fairly peaceful despite a busy road and construction next door. The Wi-Fi could be weak at times but worked well enough for me. Free Wi-Fi and parking were included; depending on the room type, there may be a full kitchen or a standard hotel setup. It's a little back from the heart of Phuket, but a short walk gets you to the beach, shops, and convenience stores. I had a delightful stay and would happily return for the clean, comfortable rooms, convenient location, and warm service.

I came here to get away from noisy Bangla and the surrounding area, and the room was genuinely quiet. Poolside rooms also face the road, so you can hear some traffic, but there isn't much on the road at night. The hotel itself was lovely, with friendly staff and clean, modern rooms with beautiful decor. The air conditioning was quiet and worked well. The shower was a highlight: spacious, strong pressure, and a showerhead that made a misty cloud of water. Bars, cafés, and restaurants are close by. My favourite was Lavazza Lukkan Mansion just around the corner.

There's plenty within walking distance, including bars, restaurants, supermarkets, and massage salons. The hotel itself is in a calm spot, not far from the city centre or beach, and away from the wild party areas. The room and bathroom were clean, the owners and staff were warm and very friendly, and housekeeping topped up the complimentary water every day. The mattress seemed a little hard at first, but I still slept comfortably. My one complaint is that my towels were replaced with new ones daily for no reason, which felt unnecessary. Still, I'd highly recommend the hotel for the value. Also, try the small Thai restaurant about 20m down the road on the opposite side.
