Bukit Pool Villas Boutique-hotel

The villa sits up a very steep hill and didn’t look like the photos on the site. There were so many stairs and floors that we hadn’t seen online, and it wasn’t worth the money. We spent most of our time away from it. A nice resort would be much better, and I won’t stay here again. Our villa wasn’t clean. They did come in each day to make the bed and bring fresh towels, but the bathrooms smelled and had mold. The pool and jacuzzi were dirty and very cold. We also had no hot water for two days. We called, but they came two days later to turn it on. They wanted to keep our passport or take a 10,000 baht security deposit. I also didn’t understand why we were being watched, including when the security guard took a picture of us coming in, and we were watched on camera.

We couldn’t stay longer than one night because of the smell. The whole village smelled like sewage, and there was no electricity or water. The curtain was broken, and the property generally wasn’t looked after as it appeared in the photos. They agreed to only a 50% refund and a fruit basket, so we ended up paying for 3.5 of the 7 nights.

My wife and I were happy with the room, though our schedule was so hectic that we hardly spent time there and didn’t use the pool. It can feel costly if you’re out most of the time. We booked a pool access suite, but the pool is shared. The room itself was comfortable and good, and the location worked well: away from the noise and not too close to Bangla Road. Service was good. The exterior needs maintenance, and the walkways to the rooms are very narrow. The property is on a very steep slope, and with all those window panels you need to close the curtains for privacy. They have bike rentals, but only Honda Clicks, at 400 baht for two days. If you rent a bike from them, there’s no bike deposit. The room deposit can be paid in your home currency.

All the staff were lovely and happy to help with anything. Muay was especially wonderful. She arranged all our tours and answered our questions so efficiently and with such care that saying goodbye after our two weeks there was sad. My partner and I had a spacious, clean villa with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We’d highly recommend Bukit Pool Villas, as we know guests will be well looked after.
