Capricorn Village

The location was ideal, close to restaurants, shops, and everyday services, while the hotel itself felt quiet and well kept. It had a comfortable, peaceful atmosphere that was great for relaxing. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it.

Getting around was easy from Capricone Village, Patong, Phuket. Walking Street is only a 2-3 minute walk away, and the market is close too. The beach takes about 10-15 minutes on foot. We stayed for a week, but there weren’t English or Indian breakfast options. Staff were okay, though the rooms were smaller than we expected. The location is convenient, but the hotel’s facilities and service could be much better.

It’s a lovely hotel at an affordable price, with friendly, helpful staff and a great location just 2-3 minutes from Bangla Road. One night a nasty man followed my sister and me and said nasty things to us. Hotel security kicked him out. We looked for the guard the next day to thank him, but it was a different security guard. Mr. Shannon, if you’re reading this, thank you very much!

I stayed in the Superior bungalow, which was very nice and roomy. The bed was so comfortable I miss it. There was a dim light and a globe missing above the bathroom mirror, but they replaced it when I asked. The TV had limited channels, and the air conditioning kept the room cool. It was room 7a at the end of the property by the small pool. It was quiet apart from the close Bangla rd location. That didn’t bother most people, but I’m a light sleeper. After getting up during the night, the doof doof went until 4 a.m. and made it hard to fall back asleep. The comfy bed helped. I stayed two nights, went to Phi Phi for three, and came back for another three. The location is great, five minutes to Bangla rd and seven to jungceylon and central. My favorite restaurant, Number 6, is also five minutes away. It’s a very clean, tidy, single floor building with a motel feel, and the staff are super nice. Breakfast is offered daily with an included voucher. You walk across the road to coffee club between 7 and 10 a.m. and choose from a set menu. Tell them about the voucher before ordering, or they’ll use the regular menu and charge you. It was adequate, but I didn’t enjoy it personally. Number 6 has much better, cheaper breakfast, so I wouldn’t choose the voucher again. It looks like they used to serve breakfast in the outdoor seating area in front of reception. My guess is not many people take the included option, so it may not be worth the trouble. If you book and can add breakfast, I’d skip it and go next door to Number 6. It’s cheaper and the staff are more welcoming. When I return to phuket, this will be my first choice for a place to stay. You won’t be disappointed.
