Hip Yaya Residences

The reception team made the four days especially fun. They greeted us whenever we passed, chatted, joked around and asked how we were enjoying the island. The room was comfortable and clean, and the service was great. Patong beach is a couple of minutes on foot, with lots of restaurants and seven eleven stores close by. I loved staying here.

The sheets and towels were dirty in both rooms we were given. When I asked reception to change the stained sheets in the first room, they moved us instead, but the bedding in the next room was dirty too. It was hard to explain the problem because staff spoke very limited English. We left after one night of a three-night stay because of the cleanliness. If the bed had been cleaner, it would have been ideal. The room was a decent size for the price, and the beach was a five-minute walk away. Our balcony faced the neighboring building, so there was no view.

We found this hotel very clean and good value. The rooms are basic, with a fridge, TV and coffee-making facilities, and they even provide beach towels at no charge. The staff were wonderful with our children, as well as being helpful and friendly. I’d recommend it.

Our deluxe suite was clean and pleasant, and the staff were a big help. Patong beach is a short walk away, with lots of nice restaurants nearby. Hello Yaya is a good choice for budget travellers visiting Phuket. You get your money’s worth.
