We spent three nights here with friends and felt it was worth it. The rooftop pool and bar had a nice atmosphere, and the bar prices were about average compared with places outside. The restaurant served tasty food at reasonable prices. We heard the chef is Indian, and the dishes suited Indian tastes without being too spicy or too bland. Mr Mukesh, who runs the Resturant, was especially friendly and helpful, and Judy the cat wanders around the property too. Our room had useful amenities, a comfortable bed that seemed to have a pocket spring mattress, and a good smart TV. The one snag was the bathroom door in my room: it needed to be pulled inward a bit to get the latch to catch. My friends' room didn't have that issue. The facilities overall were good, and everyone was welcoming.

Being close to 7/11 and other Idle restaurants was handy, and the beach and mall were around a 20-25 minute walk away. The other food and drinks I had at the hotel were good, and it looks nice. Still, there were some serious problems that need fixing, and the speaker at the bar could be better. I stayed for eight days. They welcomed us with drinks, which was a pleasant start, but my first room was very humid and had a smell that made me think the air filter hadn't been cleaned properly. An hour after I left, the floor was covered in dew. The humidity affected my sinuses, I got sick, and dealt with it for the rest of the trip. I changed rooms later. It was less humid there, though the dampness was still noticeable, and the sink had a foul smell, like mold in the pipes. Some towels had holes, and the shower kept switching between hot and cold no matter how I set it. One night I ordered fish and chips and a burger, and both were undercooked.

The staff were a real bright spot. They were incredibly polite and helpful, spoke good English, and JahJah cleaned my room each day and left lovely towel features for me to find. The hotel's location worked well too: Bangla Road and Patong Beach aren't far, there's a taxi rank right outside, 7/11 is a couple of doors down, and the bus stop is at the end of the road. I booked 12 nights and got a fourth-floor room described as having a mountain view, but there wasn't one. After three nights I had to change rooms because of bed bugs. The manager sorted the move without any hassle and put me on the seventh floor, again with the same supposed view. Breakfast was okay if you don't mind having roughly the same thing every day. The restaurant food was good, though they added a 7% charge to the bill. The rooftop pool is a nice feature, especially during the day. I wish they'd made it clear that children were welcome, as that put a damper on my stay. I've made a note for next time. It's a decent standard hotel and I might consider it again, but only if it were an Adult Only Establishment.

The location, staff, and cleanliness were all very good. I stayed four nights and didn't request room cleaning for two or three days, so my towels were only changed twice. On my last day, I asked reception for a fresh pair before checkout and was told they don't provide towels that day. I hadn't used more than my share, so I didn't understand why I should have to keep using soiled ones. I didn't expect that from an Accor hotel.
