Paksaa Boutique Hotel

The room was cheap and in poor condition, but okay for sleeping since there's AC. What really went wrong was the motorbike rental. Don't rent a bike from the hotel. The tires were broken, and we didn't notice until air went out while we were riding the hilly mountain roads. We had to get it fixed ourselves. When we returned, they wouldn't cooperate or refund the days we'd paid for in advance. They said they check their bikes every time, which was a good joke. They'd rather rent out dangerous bikes and risk lives than fix them easily for a few bath. You get what you pay for.

The location worked well, about 1.5km from the beach and near convenience stores, medicine stores, restaurants, travel agencies, and OTOP Market. We had amazing views of small mountains from the room. The staff were extremely friendly, and breakfast was okay. It's a great budget hotel with a lot of what you need, and the room was comfortable, though the bed wasn't very soft. We had trouble with the shower and cistern, both broken, and had to move rooms a couple of times. The attached views from our room were taken around 9a.m.

The pool was enjoyable, with a shade roof, and the Wi-Fi stayed consistent with no outages. The location is close to everything. All the staff were welcoming and friendly, including the on-site massage staff, who were especially kind and helpful. Their skill helped with referred pain from my spine.

The helpful staff are why I'm giving three stars, but if you actually want to sleep on vacation, I'd probably avoid this hotel. Rooms facing the main road were impossible to sleep in, like trying to sleep right beside the road on the pavement. We specifically requested a mountain view room, and they confirmed it, but there wasn't one available when we arrived. We were moved only three days later. The back rooms face a slum-like building or farm with chichkens that wake you at 5 AM every day. One day the building had no water for five hours, and they offered no compensation.
