Hotel Sole

We booked through Agoda for 3 pax and paid for an extra bed, but none was available when we arrived. There was no family room either, so the three of us had to share a single bed, which was very uncomfortable. One morning the water was off. Staff kept saying it would be back in 10-15 minutes, but it took around two hours. They didn’t apologize at all, and when we asked for updates they looked unfriendly. Reception and housekeeping generally weren’t welcoming. There was also a foreign man who seemed Italian, I guess, and whom we thought might be the owner. He often stared at guests instead of greeting them and shouted loudly at staff, making the atmosphere uncomfortable and unprofessional. We were disappointed with the service, and the stay didn’t meet our expectations. I strongly dont recommend this hotel. They are plenty of other choices.

The good points are the location near pataong beach, a nice area, daily cleaning, and easy access to popular places and the market. On the downside, the owner was rude, and after 9-10 pm there was nobody around except a security guard who didn’t understand or speak anything but Thai. There was a water shortage for 3 hours in the morning, and the washroom smelled very bad. They charge for extra amenities but don’t provide them. Beware of their tactic at checkout, as they try to get extra money. Hand over the room in front of them when you check out, or they may demand extra money for any reason.

Never again. This was one of the worst hotels of my life. The receptionist called the police on me because I wasn’t going to leave at 11:40. Unfortunately, they didn’t respect my privacy.

Friendly staff, and the hotel has what you need, including a balcony. There’s also a really good restaurant downstairs run by an actual Italian chef.
