Getting the keys is a bit like an Airbnb: contact the host by WhatsApp or text. The complex has six or seven connected buildings around a large, oasis-style pool, with apartments and rooms in different sizes. Families with younger kids will probably get the most out of the big pool. If available, I’d pick a ground-floor apartment with pool access. There aren’t many sunbeds or loungers, and the buildings shade much of the pool, so you may have to shift around to catch the sun. That may suit Thai guests who prefer less direct sunlight, but I found it could be frustrating if you want to sunbathe. My apartment was adequate for travelling alone, though dated and in need of some TLC. It wasn’t especially comfortable or stylish. The location is handy. A 7-Eleven is right out front, the beach is about a 10-minute walk away, and Yai Mak night market takes around 5-6 minutes on foot. Daisy D’s on Beach Road is nearby for burgers, ribs, beers, and pool, and there are plenty of other bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. For breakfast, Coffee, Be Original is worth the 8-10 minute walk. Turn right, then right again up the side soi. I picked this place for convenience and price, rather than luxury. Bolt and Grab are easy to get, and because many hosts rent apartments in the complex, I’d check reviews for a few of them before booking. Enjoy 👍🏼

The pool is what makes this place stand out. The building is a bit old, but it’s still a decent place to stay. The beach is within walking distance, no more than 300mt, and it’s very close to Seven/eleven. Security were helpful and kept an eye on everything. The office staff could do better. I brought my key card back twice and still couldn’t get access to the pool area. I might buy one of these units in the future.

Be careful who you rent an apartment from. I’m extremely disappointed with GSR Estate Condo management. I booked a unit for 15 days for my 70-year-old mother and me. Just 12 hours before check-in, the day before we were due to arrive, management contacted me saying there would be problems with our stay and suggested I cancel, saying AGODA would refund the money. The money isn’t the issue. It’s their lack of responsibility toward guests. I find this treatment absurd, and I want to express my indignation. GSR, thanks for ruining my vacation plans in Pattaya.

We didn’t stay a single night. As soon as we walked in, there was a strong musty smell of damp and mold, with visible mold on the walls and door. There were four of us, but only two dirty, stained towels had been left out, and they clearly hadn’t been washed. The sofa bed was in such poor shape it was almost unusable. The apartment felt stuffy, messy, and extremely unhygienic. We tried to reach the staff and got no response, so we left straight away. A very disappointing experience.

The woman managing the apartment was very pleasant. She replied quickly on WhatsApp, was friendly and polite, and came by twice. On the first visit, just after check-in, she replaced the broken kettle. It was old for old, much like everything else here. The next day, she showed me how to use the washing machine, which looked at least 20 years old, dirty, and unattractive. I only did laundry there because I had to, then used a laundromat for the rest of my stay. The apartment itself was old and badly maintained. There was no shower curtain, so water splashed everywhere, and the hot water pressure was weak. The toilet flush handle felt ready to break, and there was mold on the bathroom walls. Patchy walls hadn’t been repainted. The spring mattress and pillows were hard as stone. Bedroom and living room curtains let in the morning light, waking me very early. Construction right in front of the room meant noise too. The pool barely got any sun despite the sunny weather, since it sits between buildings, and there were hardly any sunbeds for such a large complex. The worst issue was parking. I had a car, and building management clamped it on the first night because part of a wheel touched the white line between spaces. I’d arrived at night and hadn’t noticed. There were no signs or warnings, and they took 2000 baht from me. There was nobody to speak to. They could at least put up warning signs. If I’d known what this place was like, I would’ve paid three times more for a hotel and never come here. Hotel prices were crazy because of the fireworks festival, otherwise I’d have left immediately regardless of the cost. I really don’t recommend it.
