August Suites

The room itself was okay, but the attitude I got this time put me off, and I won't stay here again. The quality and service have dropped a lot. There wasn't a socket by the bed, just one behind the TV, so charging a phone or laptop while using it in bed wasn't possible. I asked reception whether guests could borrow an extension lead. The staff member said no, and told me to buy one at a shop. She wasn't friendly about it either. They now ask for a 2,000 baht deposit at check-in. I came in September during the very low season, when the hotel was nearly empty, but still got one of its worst rooms. Maybe it was because I'd found a good deal on Agoda and they wanted to punish me, lol.

The location and price are the main reasons to stay here. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the suite was huge, though dated and in need of an update. Light came in through curtains that didn't fit properly.

I've stayed here a couple of times and would recommend August suites. It's close to central pattaya amenities, yet set far enough back from the busy road that traffic doesn't bother you. The staff are friendly and attentive, and there's a nice pool with a sun terrace and bar. My one small personal gripe was the lack of sockets and light switches beside the bed.

It's in a handy spot, with bhat buses just a short walk away for getting to the lively areas. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and I'll definitely come back.
