The soundproofing is so poor that I had to leave a night early. After three nights without sleep, the vacation just wasn't enjoyable. The old windows don't close all the way, and a rooster kept yelling every five seconds from 5:45 AM until 9:30 AM. There were also people driving along the nearby street and talking through a megaphone, which kept me awake too.

It's basic, with a capital B. HADS ON HELPS DO IT YOURSELF, living like the Thai people, sums it up :-) There's a lovely beach down the road, Monkey Beach. You can feed and water the local monkeys. Go after 4pm and they'll sit on your lap!!!!!!!!!!

The rooms are reasonably priced and well kept. The staff are friendly. Rooms at the back, just behind the sea rooms, cost less, but don't have sea views.
