Our blue house was close to Naban pier, about a 10-minute walk in the evening to the night market and massage places. There’s a free shuttle between Naban pier, and you can book snorkeling and other activities. We had a really pleasant time, with a large, clean room and friendly staff. One thing: you can’t get motorcycles if you book through Agoda. I recommend booking directly through the official account on Facebook messenger or Line.

Room 119 was quiet and the bed was okay, though some bathroom parts were broken. The AC stopped working at 1AM, leaving the room unpleasantly hot. Mechanics are only available in the morning, so after I reported it at night, I got a replacement fan instead. They said I’d receive 200 baht compensation, but I still don’t know whether the AC has been fixed. At night, none of the phone numbers you see get an answer. If you’ve got 900 baht spare and fancy your luck, this place is for you. One star because the staff tried their best.

The view really is the best part, and the place felt safe. My room was basic, the beds weren’t all that comfortable, and the bathrooms weren’t in great shape, so I was hesitant about booking at first. But I enjoyed my three nights. The staff were lovely, funny to chat with, and helpful. A free hired motorbike for the whole stay saved me a lot of money. When I ate at their restaurant in the evening, they gave me a free ride back to the accommodation, and on my last day they dropped me at the departure dock at no charge. Those gestures surprised me. You get what you pay for on this island, and the room isn’t five-star. It suits people trying to save money, whether you’re exploring solo like me or travelling with a big family. We booked three rooms and every one had the same problems. The beds felt like concrete, and the plastic mattresses made us sweat. Rooms were tiny, with cramped wet-room bathrooms covered in mould and rust. There were rusty holes drilled all over the walls, and the bathroom doors wouldn’t shut. The toilet was broken, and pieces of its cover fell off every time it was flushed. Water kept running from the shower all night, leaving the floor constantly wet. Save your money and stay somewhere else. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.
