The room itself looked pretty nice, and the staff were nice too, but the place is badly organized. Some areas were really unclean, though much of it felt fairly fresh. I booked a week to get the longer-stay discount, expecting the full kitchen apartment shown online. Instead, I was led in through a back entrance to a no-kitchen room at Charm 2 hotel, on a back street, although my booking was for Charm Hostel. Nearby karaoke and club music went on all night. The window did little to block it, and the bathroom had ventilation holes instead of a window, so it felt like the music was right inside. Trying to cancel took over 20 hours of stressful calls and messages between the hotel and the booking platform. I didn't get a refund for the night I regretted staying, and couldn't sleep because of the noise. They charged 1,000 baht for it, which was probably the undiscounted rate. After a day of both sides passing the issue back and forth, I agreed to pay for that night in exchange for getting the rest of the week refunded. Otherwise, they wouldn't have refunded it. They'd rather cost a customer a day of hassle than give up one night's income from a misleading listing.

Getting around is easy from here: the sea is a short walk away, transport is close by, and there's a local market just around the corner. The hotel is comfortable and suited us well even for a short stay. Handy if you want the basics within easy reach.

Parking space is scarce, and you'll need to use the stairs since there's no elevator. The beach is close enough to reach on foot. We had a private room with two beds and its own bathroom. It was clean and had a hot shower, hairdryer, little fridge, two free bottles of water, plus a small balcony for hanging laundry. It felt more like a budget hotel than a hostel. For the price, it's a good option if simple, clean, private accommodation is what you need.

The staff were extremely nice, and the beach is about a five-minute walk away. There's a 7/Eleven two minutes from here, along with a food market serving different kinds of cuisine. This feels like a hotel, really, and a fresh, new one at that. The design is nice from the open lobby and café all the way upstairs to the rooms. Mine was on the fourth floor, so keep in mind there isn't an elevator. I paid a reasonable 890 baht a night during Christmas season. It was quiet outside at night. Definitely recommend it.

My room was quiet, and the whole place was clean. It has a charming feel with a local vibe, just like its name suggests. Only a short stroll to the beach, too.
