City Garden Pratumnak

I planned to stay for two months, but left after one because the wild dogs around Pratumnak made sleeping impossible. During the day it was quiet, but most nights the packs barked, whined, and howled all night. Even from the seventh floor I needed earplugs. I lost a substantial deposit when I moved to another condo near Pattaya, just off 3rd road, but I felt I had no choice. The area also seems run down after Covid, with many local places shut and recovery lagging behind Pattaya. One plus is a large, quiet beach nearby. The condo itself was good, maybe 8/10. My one-bedroom unit was clean when I arrived and had a large, fairly hard bed, as is typical in Thailand, and a good bathroom with a walk-in rain shower. There was nowhere to put body wash or shampoo in the shower, so they had to sit on the floor. The kitchen was adequately equipped with a microwave, four-pan stovetop, and washing machine. The large balcony had no place to hang clothes to dry. There was a decent exercise room and pool. On arrival, the electronic door lock failed because its batteries needed replacing, so a technician had to come. He also fixed the safe, which had been left locked so I couldn’t use it. A few days later, ants became a problem and needed another technician visit.
