Most of the time there's nobody at reception, and the room itself is small, shabby, and windowless, which feels claustrophobic. The shower only has cold water. Noise is another problem: the rooms sit above a nightclub, so even though it's not directly on Buakhao Street, sleep is impossible until nearly 3 am, when the clubs are forced to close. If you're out enjoying nightlife until then, that part may be fine.

If you go out all night, the room is a nice, big, clean place and good value for the price. But the music outside is so loud the building vibrates, and sleeping before 4 in the morning is impossible. If you normally turn in at 10, 11, or midnight, good luck.

The nightlife around here roars until 3am. The rooms are kept clean, with two bottles of water, tea, and supplies to make your own coffee each day. There's ice-cold AC, a large LCD TV, and a small safe in every room. Balcony rooms have blackout curtains.
