Hotel Selection Pattaya

Whenever I'm in Pattaya, I like staying here for the beach-front setting and easy access to Soi 6 on foot. The beach view is lovely in the morning and evening, and the rooms are comfortable and well maintained, a nice place to unwind after being out. Staff are friendly and helpful, so the stay feels hassle-free. It's handy for the main attractions, and I'd happily return.

The staff were wonderful, friendly, and helpful, and the rooms were spacious and very clean. The pool isn't large, but it's nice for cooling off. The hotel is right opposite the beach, with an ocean breeze as soon as you step out. Behind it there's a local market with a Ferris wheel, good for street food or spending time at night. We only realized near the end of our trip how close it was to Terminal 21, which was great for shopping. Walking Street is easy to reach by Baht Bus along Beach Road; on the way back, you can get off on the far side of the market and walk to the hotel. I wish the gym had a power tower for pull-ups and dips and a cable pulley machine, which would have made the workout setup perfect for me. Good value for money. A clean, comfortable base near the action.

This older hotel is definitely not three or four stars, and the pictures don't show its current condition. In the corner suite I booked, the Wi-Fi was awful, the bathtub wouldn't drain, paint was peeling from the ceiling, and shower pressure was poor. The staff weren't helpful, though the bellman was nice. The only reason I can see to stay is if you want to stumble back from Soi 6. It wasn't worth half the price. Stay away.

On my first trip to Pattaya, I chose Selection Hotel because I wanted somewhere near the beach and the pictures and reviews looked good. I was very disappointed when I arrived. The place needs serious remodeling, the room was far below standard, and outside noise was horrendous. The music kept going until the early morning.
