Jomtien Hisotel

We planned on four nights and ended up extending to two weeks. The rooms have plenty of space, the beds are comfortable, and ours was clean. The staff were very helpful, and there are lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. It’s right across from the ocean, with a pool and deck area on the fourth floor. Great for the price.

Just a disgusting stay. There was mold all over the peeling walls, the sheets were dirty, and the bed had ants in it. The staff were rude. I wouldn’t recommend it.

For a single night, it’s fine, and the room was clean and fairly new. The bedding was bright white, and both the pillows and mattress were comfortable. Hotels of a similar standard have usually cost me up to 50% more. There may be cheaper places around Jomtien, but at this price I don’t know a better option. It’s a pretty typical hotel for the area.

The pool has a lovely position facing the beach, and towels, loungers, and tables are there to use. The hotel is close to the beach, with a 7 11 right next door, and the price is affordable, especially for backpackers or anyone on a tight budget. The sea is murky and not as clean as the one in Pattaya, though still bearable. You can rent chairs, tables, and umbrellas, except on Wednesdays. I’d come back if the sea were cleaner. Our room was clean when we arrived, though not spotless, and I noticed a cigarette butt on the veranda. Housekeeping came daily but didn’t clean thoroughly. The veranda railing is low, below my waist even though I’m average height, so be careful, especially if you’re drunk. Most staff were welcoming and polite. Receptionist 2 checked us out with a lovely smile, and even though I’d lost the key deposit receipt, she returned my 1k baht. Receptionist 1 was a different story. When we asked about prices, she quoted an expensive room and said there were no other rooms available when I asked. She looked smug about it. My friend and I booked through the app outside, then returned to check in, and there was a cheaper room available after all. A little smile from her would have helped.
