Jomtien Hostel

The hostel matched the photos and description. We spent almost a week there and would happily return. It’s at the end of a quiet street, a short distance from the beach, with a few restaurants on the same street. They provide free drinking water, which was a nice extra. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size, with a balcony overlooking a vacant but green lot. It was clean and had working AC, a hot shower, fridge, and TV. The bed was comfortable too.

I’d be very likely to stay here again, and would recommend it to people on a budget. The place was clean and the staff friendly and respectful, with drinking water available. It’s close to Jomtien Beach, Central Bus Terminal, and Bali Hai Pier. A couple of things to know: the upper dorm beds don’t have curtains, and the lockers are supplied without locks, so bring your own.

I’d stay here again. For the price, it’s a good hotel, and the top floor is especially quiet, with its own courtyard, kitchen, and viewing platform. My room up there was quite large. The bed and linen were good, and I had both a fan and AC, plus a fridge. There were a few drawbacks: water pressure was weak at the shower and sink, while oddly the bidet hose was strong. I also found ants in the room. The thin dividing wall was the biggest issue, I could hear the couple next door much too clearly.

The manager Jean was really helpful, as were the other staff. They use glass water bottles to cut down on plastic, which is a great idea. For the price, this is one of the better places I’ve stayed in Thailand. It’s a quiet part of Jomtien, away from loud bars, and only 300m from Jomtien Beach. The guesthouse gets the essentials right: spacious dorms, good AC, WiFi, free water, and rooms cleaned to a high standard. The bed linen was comfortable, and the mattress was one of the best I’ve had in Thailand. Each bed also has its own curtain.
