kasalong resort

The rooms and facilities seem to be 15-20 years old, with no renovations or replacements. The air conditioner is loud, the bed has a spring mattress, and the shower swings between scalding and freezing with no way to adjust it. There was hair in the bathtub too. The exercise machines look at least 15 years old and need replacing. Morning coffee is instant, measured out with a spoon, no machine. Reception didn't care about the problems I raised. I left for another hotel, but was still paying for this one. Don't expect a refund if you've booked several days.

I came in for a spa treatment. It was clean, professional and very good. I slept through most of the massage, so I can't say much about that part, but I definitely came away totally relaxed.

We loved staying here. The breakfast was really good, and the service was great. I'd suggest getting there early. The pool is nice too, though it needs cleaning, so I'd come after 8:30 am. It opens at 8:00 am if you don't mind things in the water. Our room gets 3 stars from me because there were lots of mosquitoes and some lizards made noise at night. The toilet paper was also awkwardly far away, which was uncomfortable, though manageable. The restaurant is across from the hotel, and you can order food to your room. So convenient 😂

The staff were cheerful and friendly, and made me feel at home. It’s a lovely place to get some peace and quiet, though the mosquitoes buzzing around were a nuisance. Breakfast felt like they cut a lot of corners. The eggs were precooked and cold, the butter came in a jar, and the cereal was served with a jar and spoon. The gym was disappointing and needs a lot of attention. With some work, this could easily be a five-star place.
