Manhattan Pattaya Hotel (sha Extra Plus)

Another enjoyable stay at the Manhattan. Everyone provided very good service, especially Ying, whose temperament suits reception perfectly. The design mixes classic and colonial styles, and the laid-back feel reminds me of the area where I lived for a year, so maybe that's why it feels like home. Regards, Brian.

The worst part for us was the bed and pillows. Both were very hard and uncomfortable, with no alternative, and we left Pattaya with a stiff neck and painful back. We don't think we'll stay again. Other things were mixed: check-in went smoothly, though we had to wait for the room. The pool was beautiful but noisy with kids over the weekend. The location wasn't very convenient, but we didn't mind the long walks to Terminal 21 and night market bazaar. Rooms were quite spacious and clean, while the bathroom felt cramped and the shower pressure was poor.

The pool is gorgeous, and the vegetation around it is lovely and well kept. That's the only plus for me, and I wouldn't stay here again. In low season I thought guests would get the best available room in the category they paid for, without expecting an upgrade. After a 24-hour journey to Pattaya and barely sleeping, I was glad to have somewhere to rest that first night. The next day I realized our room was in a dark, undesirable spot on the second floor of a five-floor hotel. We had a regular key instead of a key fob, while rooms across from us got more sunlight and a normal key fob. There's no coffee machine in the room, and the TV is ancient. On most breakfast days there wasn't even one vegan or vegetarian dish, though there were three different chicken options on the same day.

The ground staff were very helpful, and the rooms were excellent. It's near the beach and not too far from Terminal 21 mall. Very good experience.
