It’s a good find in a busy area, with a good-sized room, a nice pool, and a pleasant breakfast and lunch area where they serve beer. Bars across the street can be noisy, so I wouldn’t book a room facing them. Some guests get rowdy around the pool now and then, and the staff can be rude and unfriendly. I was told I could put my meals on my tab, but one night after I’d eaten out, someone at reception said the restaurant staff were angry that I hadn’t paid. To be fair, I extended my original three-day stay, but I’d booked with a credit card, so it seemed unlikely I’d run off. My second-floor room was above the kitchen, and I found three giant cockroaches in the bathroom when I first walked in. I told the cleaning staff, who sprayed every day and got rid of them. The shower isn’t enclosed, so the toilet area gets wet and slippery. Be careful. Bring your own pool towel, since theirs are threadbare, and you have to leave a refundable 100 Baht deposit.

The staff were wonderful, and most things are within walking distance. My room was at the back, so noise didn’t bother me. A balcony room facing the street could probably be a bit noisy. The pool area was very nice, and cleanliness was good.

After coming here for about seven years, I still think it’s the best value for money in Pattaya. The rooms are basic but clean and have good amenities, and the housekeeping and F&B staff are lovely and helpful. There’s plenty of room for improvement, though. The old reception staff, who had been here for about a decade, have been replaced by someone I find rude and unfriendly, a “grand dragon” who seems to enjoy seeing guests leave. I’ve watched several arguments between guests and reception. Stay extensions have been forgotten, and my reservation couldn’t be found either, though that did get sorted out. The new receptionist needs better people skills.
