Paradise Park by Rungfa

The facilities are nicely kept, the pool is fantastic, and the people are friendly. It's a quiet, easygoing spot, a little removed from Pattaya Beach road and the nightlife. For a low-key family stay around Jomtien Beach, I'd rate it five stars; for nearby nightlife, three.

My stay itself was pleasant and uneventful, and I left the place spotless. But when I checked out, they said the microwave was broken and blamed me, then refused to return my deposit. I never used it. Food is cheap in Thailand, so I ate out or ordered every meal. Even if I had used the microwave, replacing one shouldn't cost $1000. The whole thing feels scammy, and I don't know who to complain to since Thailand has no BBB. Stay away. There are much better places in Pattaya, hopefully more honest ones. I wish zero stars were an option.

Getting around is a hassle because Paradise Park in Bang Lamung is nowhere near Pattaya Beach, despite what some listings imply. You need a car or a long ride to reach anything interesting. The charges also kept adding up, with unexpected fees for utilities, keys, and basic maintenance. Nothing felt straightforward, and management seemed more interested in getting money from guests than providing decent service. The building looks all right from outside, but inside the elevators are slow and unreliable, halls are dim and musty, and shared spaces feel neglected. The pool may look good in photos, but it can be crowded or closed without notice. Noise carries between neighboring units because there's no soundproofing. Everything felt overpriced. There's nothing "paradise" about paying too much to stay far from everything in a building that feels like an afterthought.
