PJ Inn Pattaya

I found the room clean, nice and a little old fashioned. It was a reasonable price for the large space, and all the electrical appliances worked. The restroom was tiny. Reception stays open until midnight. The room uses an old style key and a bar for the electricity. There was a bit of an old, musty smell, especially in the refrigerator, but it worked fine. The street noise made it hard for me to sleep. The old stainless steel window didn’t block sound, and motorbikes and vehicles kept passing all night. The room seemed to amplify it, almost like a cave. I can usually sleep anywhere, but this was difficult. After 10 PM, women outside were making a lot of noise, and arguments or other problems could get loud even after midnight. I ran into that myself today. Every time I woke up, it felt like there was more noise. At 6 AM, birds were calling and someone started banging around in the kitchen, sounding like they were making somtam. I could also hear someone using the toilet in the next room and a table being moved at night. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Pattaya, including near bars that quiet down after 2 AM, but here it went on all night, every ten minutes. I might not sleep and may check out early. I’m really tired now, more than after a tiny LCC flight seat for over six hours. I’m satisfied with many things about the stay, but might hesitate to return because of the noise nearby. There’s an Indian favorite hotel close by, and in front of the hotel older women stand around and approach Indian men offering special services. I don’t understand why nobody mentions the noise issue. Everything else was acceptable, but I couldn’t sleep in this room.
