The staff were kind and did their best to keep things clean. That's why I'm giving two stars. The property itself is falling apart and seems focused on taking the money without fixing even small things. Rooms are dilapidated, towels are old and torn, the furniture and plaster are crumbling, half the lights don't work, and the curtains are broken. The air conditioning can't be adjusted properly, so you're either too hot or too cold. There are eight floors but just one elevator. I was lucky the hotel was empty. Reception closes at 20. The pool was dirty, with no chairs and only three old, dirty plastic tables. The room door lock took me five minutes to get shut. A man came to repair it but couldn't fix it. The safe had no batteries, and apparently you have to buy those and the TV and climate remote batteries yourself. I waited five days for a TV remote because they had none. A maintainer could sort out the locks, handles, bulbs, climate control, curtains, doors, windows, and shower. Bring a blanket to sit on the small sofa, and you'll understand why. No comment.

The rooms are cheap but dirty, with worn-out beds and furniture and a tiny TV. There's no WiFi. I visited someone who lives there full time, so maybe other rooms are better, but I doubt it. It costs 5000 baht a month, plus water and electricity. You couldn't pay me to stay there.

It's amazing value, with big rooms right in the heart of town, so there's no need for a car or motorcycle. The downside is the smoke smell in the rooms. I'd give it five stars if smoking weren't allowed inside. I'll keep coming back and bring a spray. They should put up a sign asking people to smoke on the balcony.

The staff were really nice and always pleasant, which matters a lot to me. Rooms are mine sized, the TV is an okay size, and WiFi is fine for browsing and YouTube, though maybe a little slow. I would definitely stay again. The one thing holding me back from five stars is the bars playing loud music until 2am. Even 1am would be better. Thanks, blue ocean, for having me stay! 😊
