Secrets Pattaya

My 20 nights here were a nightmare, and I wouldn't recommend booking this hotel. When I checked in, the room wasn't ready, and the bedsheets and pillowcases were filthy. The previous guest had checked out, but the room hadn't been cleaned for me. Please see the photo evidence. The hotel is under new management now, and service is poor. The attitude was bad, and they didn't seem to care about customers. It wasn't even good enough for one star. They never changed the sheets or pillowcases during my stay. They only changed the towels and cleaned every day. It spoiled the whole experience.

I stayed here a few years ago and forgot to leave a review. For my three weeks there, every staff member treated me with the utmost respect. I'm a single guy. My room was at the back with no view, but it was completely quiet day and night when I wanted to sleep. It was cleaned very well every day. The price is hard to beat, and it's close to everywhere. I definitely recommend it.

The manager was unprofessional when I complained after a week without clean towels. He told my wife and me to leave if we weren't happy, then called a man over who blocked my way and gave me a death stare. On arrival the air conditioning didn't work. Housekeeping mopped the floor, made the bed, and replenished the extra toilet paper twice a week. There was no minibar or drinking glasses, and the two pillows were very thin. The bathroom floor was moldy, and the ceiling panel above the shower was broken. Book at your own peril.

For the price, this is decent accommodation. My room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, the AC worked well, and the Wi-Fi was fast, strong, and stable. The smart TV had cable channels. The bathroom was usable, with soap and shampoo provided. I was at the back of the second floor and didn't hear much street noise. Check-in was awkward, which is one reason for the one star deduction. The bar downstairs was closed during my stay, and the phone number on the sign went unanswered. Luckily, the motorbike drivers outside knew the owner and fetched him from a pub down the road. He was very friendly and let me check in early. The rooms are entered from an alley behind the building, and there's no elevator for upper floors. The other main issue was the shower water, which was scalding hot and couldn't be adjusted. I had to turn off the room's breaker to shut off the heater and take a cool shower.
