Sleep Owl Jomtien

The bathroom is spacious, and there's an elevator. Rooms are small for what similarly priced hotels offer, with thin walls and a creaky bed frame. Staff are very laid-back, and both they and the cleaners can be forgetful. Rooms are clean when you request it.

The location is the one good thing, close to the Beach. The staff were rude and unfriendly. They charged 200bht for the key and then wouldn't give the money back, coming up with excuses.

The bed was so comfortable that I slept like a baby, and the other staff were friendly and helpful. One staff member was a bit rude whenever I asked for something. When I asked her for toilet paper because it had run out, she said they don't provide it at this cheap hostel and that I'd only paid 150b. It wasn't a kind response, though I understand. There were spider webs on the ceiling, and heavy rain during my stay caused a leak that left the floor really wet.

Street noise is unbearable, beyond belief. There's karaoke at ear-splitting volume too.
