Sweet Sense Jomtien Resort

The room style was nice, the bed was comfortable, and I had a private parking spot right outside the room. But my stay over New Year 2020 had plenty of problems. The hot water was broken and the repair person was on holiday. The towels looked over ten years old and had holes. There was no hair dryer, no replacement bottled water the next day, the air-conditioning remote had dead batteries, and the refrigerator stopped working. For what it cost, it wasn't worth it. 😭😭

The Moroccan-style interior was lovely, and the hotel was inexpensive, quiet, and clean. We skipped breakfast, though the menu had Thai dishes and an American option like egg and ham, with fried rice, for around 80 baht, ordered à la carte. Nearby are seafood restaurants, the Floating Market, and Dinosaur Park, around the far end of Jomtien. Getting there can be tricky: from the main road it's about 100 meters, with lots of dogs along the way. Check which of the two entrances to use, and having a car helps avoid trouble. If you don't know the language, a taxi or songthaew ride could end up costing you.

I stayed two nights, and the room was never cleaned during the second night. The sheets were still from the previous guest when I checked in. I asked the staff to change them and complained at the front desk, but neither request was dealt with. Strange hotel, with no service and foolish staff. What is this?

From Pattaya Bus Terminal, take a songthaew along Sukhumvit Road toward Pattaya Floating Market. The ride takes about 40 to 45 minutes. Cross Sukhumvit Road there, then look for the Sweet Sense Resort Hotel signboard. It's a 100-meter walk from the main road.
