The apartment has a great ocean view.

When I needed a room in the same building a week later, I called the owner, who's Russian, and we arranged to pay directly on arrival. He eventually picked up when I got there, but said he wasn't in the PTT, so I had to find a nearby hotel for that night. Earlier, I'd booked a studio apartment through Agoda for two days. The room itself was clean, but the balcony was covered in bird droppings.
