The bungalows are so cute, and the views open right out around them. There’s edible greenery all over the property, and I’m pretty sure most of the papaya and bananas we were given came from there. The woman who makes breakfast is lovely and generous. It’s Thailand, so mosquitoes are around; bring long linen clothes if they bother you.

A peaceful place to get away from the city, with nature sounds and really good value. At night, the view is lovely from the bar-like seating area where you can have a beer and look out at the jungle. The owner is warm and helpful, and breakfast was good: local tea, toast, egg and coffee. The rooms are decent, just be aware there’s no hot water.

The jungle setting and the view are one of a kind, yet the shops and restaurants are only a five-minute walk away. The houses seem fairly new, and it was quiet and very relaxing. Our hosts were welcoming and did their best to help with anything. Breakfast was simple but tasty, and fresh water was free. We were comfortable in the heat with the room AC and didn’t have trouble with mosquitoes. They arranged a day trip for us, though it’s also easy to make your own plans, with car hire and travel agencies in town. The prices felt more than fair.

We felt like family with Antony and his mother, and the night market in the little town below was the friendliest we came across during a month in Thailand. It’s a lovely place to stay away from the tourist trail. The local boat trips around Phang Nga park are worth 1500 baht too.

The room was clean and quiet, with AC, and breakfast was included. No hot water, so it’s not a five-star hotel. Still, the owner was so kind and even took me into town for dinner. The location and view are extraordinary.
