You'll need your own way to get around here. The place is far from everything, 2,5km from center and 1km from the nearest restaurant, with no grab or local taxi. They can arrange a free pick-up if you eat at the overprice family restaurant, but otherwise charge 300B for 2km and back. The old guy made us feel like we were just money. The room is spacious and nice, but it's very hot and the bedroom aircon doesn't cool the whole place, so expect to sweat. If you're taller than 1m80, watch your head going into the bathroom. Breakfast is really basic; when the jam ran out, they had no extra jar, so we had to wait until the next day to put anything on our bread. At the start, they didn't know we were coming despite a few messages with the owner, and we waited almost an hour in the heat and mosquitoes. If you don't need anything, it's ok, but don't expect help from them unless you pay.

It's an amazing place if you like staying a bit off the beaten track, surrounded by nature. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the language barrier was easy to overcome. There are some great restaurants a short walk away, and the elephant cave or the commercial heart of Phang Nga are about 40 minutes on foot.

For 700baht night you get a big house, very good value. It's tucked into greenery, quiet and peaceful, with nature all around, which makes it a relaxing spot. It's a bit off the main road.

The area is peaceful and easy on the eyes, and the owner is also a carer. In the cafe area across the road, we were offered coffee, tea and ovaltine in the morning. The motel-style accommodation is well designed and maintained, with everything super clean and pleasant terraces at the front and back. We usually don't like hard mattresses, but these were very comfortable. We'd come back without hesitation.
