The location is really convenient if you want to explore Phang-nga. The hotel sits in the middle of the city, which is between two mountains, and it's nice to walk around there. Inside, the building and rooms are gorgeous and full of culture. We spoke with the owner, who explained that the building's history is passed down through generations for them to look after. Our room was nice, though a bit bare-bones and somewhat old. The owner, Khun Dang, was around now and then. If you need something, I assume it's best to reach him through LINE or WhatsApp first, and don't expect immediate help. The experience was very self-service, which I didn't mind, though problems with the room could be frustrating. He was very nice and suggested lots of great places for us to visit. I'd recommend it to solo travelers or small groups who aren't looking for high-end luxury. It's a more unique, down-to-earth kind of stay. ✨️💕

The staff were lovely, and it was a soulful little hostel, clean and very cheap. The breakfast listing was a bit misleading, since we had to make it ourselves. Still, we were very satisfied with our stay, and the air conditioning worked as it should.

The family-owned hotel is in a 100-year-old historic building. The owners are friendly, speak great English, and keep everything super clean. There's a cozy lobby hangout with plenty of seats, plus a collection about the area's old tin mining history. They serve breakfast and homemade pizza, and the fridge is stocked with drinks and beer. Laundry service is available too. I love that they recycle. It's nice to see Thailand keeping the streets clean and teaching people not to litter. It's working.

The historic building has a nice atmosphere, and the staff are helpful and speak great English, so it's still a good choice. There aren't many hotel options in Phang Nga, and this may be the best-known one. A couple of drawbacks: the windows aren't fully transparent, and if your room is on one side of the hotel, a loud rooster will likely wake you in the morning.

Thank you for a lovely stay and for all the help. The rooftop view of the mountains around us and the morning fog was breathtaking. Our room was big enough for all of us, and when we couldn't find coffee in the evening, they made some for us. We did find the beds hard, though perhaps there are other options. I still woke refreshed! The owners are charming and share their family's story about this antique hotel. There's plenty of information to read around the lobby. For dessert, they suggested a night market soy milk stand and lent us mugs to bring it back in, which also cut down on single-use plastic.
