Klangmuang River Home

We liked it so much at Klang Muang River Home that we extended our stay. The hotel is peaceful and well situated, and everything was clean. Breakfast was included and delicious, and the owner and staff were kind and helpful. We'd recommend it to anyone exploring Phetchabun and nearby areas.

After a long drive dealing with Bangkok drivers, the quiet was a relief. This place is right in the center but away from the main road and traffic. The rooms are spacious and clean, each has air conditioning, and breakfast is included. Where else can you find that nowadays? And sorry, folks, even if nobody says it out loud, to people from outside Bangkok, you seem like maniacs behind the wheel. The traffic is usually stopped, and when it does move, it's messy chaos. I've said my piece, now I'll be quiet for the rest of my time here in Thailand.

The rooms are large, there's plenty of parking, and breakfast is included in a good price. You can also buy beer at reception for a reasonable amount. The owner I met at breakfast speaks excellent English and was great to talk with, and the staff are friendly too. Restaurants, bars and entertainment are an easy walk away. I stayed here about two years ago and would come back when I'm in the area.

Breakfast included toast and spreads, a hot drink with coffeemate, boiled rice, mild stir-fry and well-cooked fried eggs. The room was clean and large, with a medium-sized fridge, TV but no English channels, and free Wi-Fi. The bathroom was roomy and the shower worked well. The bed was hard, while the air conditioner was quiet and effective. There’s a small balcony handy for drying clothes, and the market is a seven-minute walk. We could lock our bicycles under cover, though security there was low. The main-road sign made it easy to find, but the entrance archway was marked only in Thai.
