The restaurant on the first floor surprised me most. I expected resort prices, but a bucket of ice was free and a bottle of Coke cost just 15 baht. The owner's cooking is good enough for half a Michelin Star. Bacchus 304 feels like a little bit of heaven, and I don't want to leave. I've stayed at three other hotels up the road, and Bacchus deserves five stars. The place is thoughtfully done, from the hardwood floor and wicker swing chair on the balcony to the feminine decorative touches. Even the shower has a soft, padded, non-slip mat covering the whole floor. It really feels like the owner takes pride in caring for her tenants.

The people here make me feel at home in Had Chao Samran, almost like family. This is my favorite spot at this beach. Rooms are comfortable and affordable, the food is great, and the WiFi works well. If you need anything, they'll try to help.

A small, pleasant homestay resort right on the beach, with a clean, well managed place that feels like an ordinary Thai home. The Madam is very friendly with guests, and the stay and food cost a reasonable amount.
