Khungkapong Resort

I was travelling through for work and stopped here to rest. The reception staff were great and the price was good. The atmosphere gets a 10/10. I’ll definitely stay here again when work brings me to the area.

I liked this place quite a bit, and the atmosphere was good. I stayed during Songkran (65), and it’s not far from Chao Samran Beach. The resort staff were welcoming, and there was a little boat for paddling around. I especially liked the view of the water from behind the living room. The sheets, pillowcases, and blankets were clean, though the mattress was a bit hard. The bathroom was basic but had a water heater. There was no refrigerator or kettle, which is why I took off a star. Room prices vary by weekday or festival, so ask the staff. Barbecue is allowed. Bring your own grill if you can, since renting one from the resort costs 300 baht. We thought that was expensive, so we bought a grill and barbecue gear near Chao Samran Beach instead.

A low-cost, simple guesthouse beside the pond with a great atmosphere, and dogs are allowed for 200 baht each. The room was clean, but the air conditioner dripped so much it was practically running like a faucet 😅😅😅. The bathroom floor was clean, though the walls were stained yellow. No refrigerator or kettle. I took off one star for the leaking AC.

The room seemed clean and the hot water worked, and I liked the atmosphere. But the mattress was incredibly hard, like sleeping on the floor. There was no fridge, and just one outlet for charging, so I had to unplug the TV. Very few in-room amenities.
